This tour is scheduled to operate weekly, on Monday and Friday, except on certain Public Holidays. Check the BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE booking panel for available dates.
We transfer to the Cirkewwa terminal located in the north of Malta to board our ferry for a short ferry crossing to the island of Gozo. During the crossing, you will pass the smaller island of Comino and you will notice a top of the high rugged cliffs stands the Santa Maria Fort which was used during the movie 'Count of Monte Cristo' (filmed 2002). Our ferry crossing lasts only 25 minutes and on arrival, we join the guide and tour transport for our tour of Gozo.
You will immediately notice that Gozo is much greener and has certain characteristics making it different from the larger island of Malta. We start our tour with a visit to the shrine of Ta'Pinu (dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu). This important church is set in a stunning location, on the edge of a ridge in open countryside and providing beautiful views of the surrounding area. The church is also linked to a number or 'miracles' which you will discover during your visit.
We continue to our next stop and the area known as 'Dewjra'. Here you will see three interesting geological sites including Dwejra Bay and the Inland Sea which is a lagoon of seawater which has access to the open sea through a small arch-like tunnel. You can take a small boat trip (coast not included) around the inland sea and through the tunnel. Another of Dwejra's geological delights is the Admiral's Rock or as it is better known, Fungus Rock. A special plant is said to grow here which has various medical cures for conditions such as dysentery, bleeding and impotence.
We next visit the Ta’ Dbiegi Crafts Village where you can view local handmade pottery, mouth-blown glass, Gozo lace and silver filigree. This shortstop is ideal if you want to pick up a souvenir. Free time for lunch, not included in the tour rate.
We continue to the main city which is locally called Rabat but you are likely to know it as Victoria, we will take a short walk through this busy little city to join a trackless train for a short trip up the steep hill to the fortified Cittadella. The Cittadella is a small walled city within the city of Victoria, only a small number of families still live within the walls. This historical fortified city has recently undergone major restoration works and you can visit the new visitors centre, explore quaint alleys or stroll around the walls enjoying amazing views of the island from the high bastions.
Next visit are the ancient temples of Ggantija. Ggantija Temples (a UNESCO World Heritage site) are 5500 years old, making them some of the oldest free-standing structures in the world. Our guide will unfold the history related to these 'giant towers' erected during the golden neolithic period (c. 3600–2500 BCE).
The final part of our tour of Gozo will take us through some of the villages, en route we will stop at the Qala Belvedere. This stop gives you an amazing scenic view of the landscape cascading down to the coast and in the distance the smallest island of Comino and the larger island of Malta...all in one photo.
At this stage, our tour is coming to an end and we will make our way back to the ferry for our return to Malta and transport you back to the drop off point.

The licensed tourist guide that accompanies on tour is multilingual, therefore the tour can be delivered in more than one language.
The ferry fare for infants, for 4yrs and under, is not included and cost is €1.15 which is paid on the day of the tour.
The cost of optional boat trips such as the Inland Sea at Dwejra are not included, these normally cost between €5 and €7 depending on the season.
Lunch is not included in the cost of the tour, you will be allocated free time.

The actual tour once we reached Gozo was good, however the communication from the guide before that and the bus journey to collect all the other members for the tour was rather long and the guide did not explain or communicate the reason for that. He was very knowledgeable about the sites but not a great communicator.

I loved this tour. The Ggantija temples were amazing. The city of Victoria was beautiful and the railless train ride was delightful. Our guide, Mark, was personable and knowledgeable. I would recommend the tour to everyone visiting Malta.

Enjoyed the tour. Only 2 small critiques - I wish they had told us we could wade in the water/swim instead of doing the blue lagoon boat excursion thing (while the others did the boat) and I thought the stop for souvenirs was too long. Overall it was a good experience.

Long bus ride to pickup passengers. Should tell people it will be two hours on a bus before you arrive at ferry. Guide was ineffective - more interested in talking with Italian guests and would disappear quickly without checking to make sure that guests were ok and knew where to go. The handicrafts stop was a joke - extended stay in a gift shop. Quality of included lunch was poor - most people went to square for alternate food/drinks. Would not recommend.

After a slightly chaotic and long boarding, everything went uphill. The seats are surprisingly comfortable, the food was above expectations and the crew was very nice. All the places were great, the seas access is ok even for older people and the time spend on each location was adequate.

Mainly Italian commentary. Didn't wait till all the group was together to explain things. We misunderstood the meeting point and had to meet Mark to get back. He was very good and helpful more than the last mini van driver who drove straight past our hotel and dropped us off to catch another bus.

The bad thing is that my tour group was huge. Usually I don't like large tours. This went surprisingly well, though. The guide was very experienced and organized and did a great job keeping everyone on track, and he also made himself available at each stop so we never felt alone. Gozo is amazing and I wish I could've spent more time there, but this tour did a nice job of showing us the highlights.

This tour is amazing. I loved that it was so dynamic. We went by bus, ferry, trackless train, we had a good lunch and visited a lot of places. I definitely recommend this tour. Also there were no available places for Monday, but I asked the company if they can help us out and they did find 2 more places. All in all, it was a pleasure !

Overall nice tour but disappointed that we were taken to a souvenir/ toot shop rather than the actual Craft Centre less than half a km up the road where the real hand made crafts were.

Pretty boring tour as there wasn't much to see and the tour guide didn't really give us a lot of information. I went on another tour while in Malta, and we learned so much from the guide. Also, the food was absolutely disgusting and you should definitely rethink the place you take your groups to! Overcooked pasta, stringy dry chicken leg and some defrosted veg. I expected more for the price of the tour.

This tour will take you to some of the main things to see but it’s not really a guided tour: the guide gives you some basic info on the bus but then you are let loose at each place and there’s no explanation of anything at the site. There’s a craft village to go to but we were dropped at a pretty standard souvenir shop instead that was disappointing and the lunch was beyond awful. Had a trip around Victoria on a land train and saw nothing of note (think it was done to kill time), but the group had a lovely singalong! Guide did give go info but would have liked him to talk us through things at the sites themselves. Been on a lot of tours and this wasn’t really up to par but we still enjoyed seeing everything g and the convenience of being driven there.

Awesome tour, with loads of sights to enjoy and perfectly organised! Our guide was amazing. She made an excellent job by describing the key features of each spot and leading the group. What I liked was the pace. We never felt in a rush, yet managed to visit many places in one day. Highly recommended. Gozo has a lot to offer.

Highly structured and punctual tour with a professional and efficient tour leader. Didn't really learn much from commentary as every sentence repeated three times in different languages which left little time for content. Seemed quite rushed, including the lunch offer. After an initial mix up where we were not picked up from our hotel We had a lovely day touring Gozo. Anna our guide was lovely and informative. We were told to be outside our hotel for 8:40 for pick up. At 9:10 I rang office to see where the bus was, to be told that we should have been at a neighbouring hotel. Our confirmation receipt clearly stated pick up was outside our hotel. They sent us a private taxi, our driver Paul was brilliant, kept us amused with his family stories. When we arrived at harbour we had to catch ferry on our own. It was all very straightforward though. Anna was there to meet us. Couple of passengers were not happy about being delayed but thawed as they realised it was not our fault. Gozo is beautiful and just like Malta is full of so much history. We also went to a local shop with our guide Anna who told us all about the lace bobbin and filigree. We were also allowed to sample some of their local foods and drinks. Which we ended up buying a couple of items to take home to our family. We had some lovely free time wandering around a little village, plenty of shops and places to eat or drink. Food was provided, though we were disappointed that it was not a Maltese themed menu. We took a ride on a land train through the narrow streets, which was something different. Followed by another landmark. Before heading back to the ferry. All in All it was a lovely day. Thank you.

Excellent day on Gozo. Our tour guide was amazing and friendly. The day was beautiful and warm. Went on the boat trip, sea a little choppy but well worth it. Luckily we chose the best day as following days were so windy you could hardly stand. Would highly recommend.

Concept of trip very good, but when you are held up at the ferry terminal for over an hour (Gozo) and that there is no leeway to see what should be done at leisure every thing becomes rushed! Some of the places that where visited were not what was expected (corner shop???), seeing that we passed a craft village to go there! Tour guide was very professional.

We were not picked up for this tour and was provided a taxi to the ferry terminal and then we had to take the ferry over on our own. We were not given any information about how to meet up with our tour in Gozo after we disembarked. We asked around at the Gozo terminal and finally met up with a taxi driver who caught up to the tour but we missed the first part of the tour in Gozo.

Lovely tour, and guides always pleasant and helpful considering they have to organise so many holiday makers. One complaint....our lift turned up 35 mins early while we were eating breakfast. Showed him my collection time, we managed to get ourselves ready and set off early but it felt stressed and he continued to stress driving through the traffic. Checked timings for our next tour and our time given was wrong again !! Good job I checked....and the driver still turned up earlier than the revised time I was given !!

Our pick up was 25 minutes late which is the only reason i'd give this tour four stars instead of five, when it eventually arrived it was a GREAT TOUR. Saw everything we could have wanted to see in Gozo, a beautiful island. Plenty of time to see everything at our own pace. Our tour guide Mark was awesome, giving us lots of information and doing the tour in english AND french.
